Ameer Abdaal Ramay entered the legal profession after graduating with LL.B (Hons) from
the University of London, driven by a passion for striving in the way of justice and a
commitment to making a positive impact for his clients. This commitment is demonstrated by
his role, while he served, as Defence Counsel in Magisterial Trial Cases, under the office of
the District Public Prosecutor Lahore. Over the years, he has proven himself not only as a
skilled and reliable attorney but also as a valuable asset to the firm. With strong analytical
skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a capacity to navigate complex legal matters, he has
consistently contributed to the firm’s success and the satisfaction of its clients.
Prior to joining AwaisLaw DRT, Mr. Ameer gained extensive experience by working independently and through his association with several prominent law firms as well as the legal department of Nestlé Pakistan. During his undergraduate program, he served as the President of the Law Society. In addition, he interned at a variety of top-ranking law firms with diverse areas of expertise. Several of Mr. Ameer’s legal articles have been published on Courting the Law; Legal News and Analysis Portal. Earlier in his academic journey, Mr. Ameer also served as Student Ambassador for NCUK (Pakistan Chapter), during his O and A Levels.
Mr. Ameer’s keen interest in politics led him to pursue a Master's degree in Political Science, a qualification that, when combined with his legal expertise, has proven to be a cornerstone of both his professional development and his contributions to the firm. In addition to his legal and academic pursuits, Mr. Ameer has a deep passion for teaching. He has been actively teaching A’Level Law, University of London LL.B., and AP Comparative Governments, further demonstrating his commitment to sharing knowledge and shaping future legal minds.
Mr. Ameer possesses extensive expertise in corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract negotiation, and navigating complex regulatory frameworks. He is adept at helping businesses navigate the intricacies of corporate law to achieve their objectives while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. In addition, he has a deep understanding of banking law, including regulatory compliance, recovery suits, financial instruments, and the broader regulatory environment that governs the banking sector. Mr. Ameer’s practice at the firm encompasses a wide range of areas, including constitutional and civil law, with particular expertise in corporate, commercial, real estate, family, banking, and arbitration matters. He plays an integral role in assisting the team on significant transactions, conducting research, and drafting cases up to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
