Asad is a corporate and commercial lawyer in M&A, public-private partnerships (PPP), corporate advisory, and dispute resolution. A graduate of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), he wrote his final thesis on “A Case for Deregulation of Pakistan’s Economy”, reflecting his deep interest in economic policy, corporate structuring, and regulatory frameworks.

Before joining AwaisLaw DRT, Asad worked as a legal associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he led a team of associates providing tax advisory and regulatory compliance services to clients, including Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and multinational insurance corporations. His experience at PwC strengthened his understanding of corporate taxation, transaction structuring, and financial regulations, particularly in infrastructure, energy, and financial services sectors.

His legal career also includes experience in constitutional and commercial litigation, having interned at Minto & Mirza Advocates and Solicitors, where he assisted senior lawyers in handling constitutional challenges, corporate disputes, and regulatory compliance matters. He further developed his research and policy expertise as an intern at the Research Society of International Law (RSIL), analyzing Pakistan’s legal framework for managing epidemics and pandemics, and at Justice Project Pakistan, where he contributed to advocacy efforts leading to the landmark Supreme Court ruling in Safia Bano v. Home Department, Government of Punjab.

At AwaisLaw DRT, Asad is actively involved in corporate advisory, commercial transactions, M&A, PPP, taxation, international arbitration, and dispute resolution. His ability to blend corporate, regulatory, and transactional expertise makes him a valuable asset to clients navigating complex commercial deals, infrastructure projects, and financial structuring.
